Welcome to my website! I am an applied economist with a focus on Political and Media Economics. I am currently postdoc at University of Turin, under the supervision of Pierluigi Conzo. I am also Research Affiliate of CESIFO (Munich), under the Economics of Digitization Area. In my research, I use methods from causal analysis and from natural language processing to study social media platforms and digital markets. Specifically, my paper on social media regulation studies the effects of a policy against racist hate speech in Twitter. I analyze whether racist hate speech decrease in Twitter and whether there are spillover effects in an alternative, less regulated social media platform, Parler. My work also features research about online and offline political communication, about media framing of climate narratives and about differences in municipal policies between different types of governments. I am currently a short-term consultant for the World Bank Group for the MAGNET Initiative.
