Welcome to my website! I am an applied economist with a focus on Political and Media Economics. I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Turin. I am also Research Affiliate of CESifo (Munich), under the Economics of Digitization Area. In my research, I use methods from causal analysis and from natural language processing to study social media platforms and digital markets. I am currently on the 2024-2025 Job Market. My job market paper "Self-Regulation and the Evolution of Content: a Cross-Platform Analysis" studies a Twitter policy against racist hate speech and analyzes whether there are spillover effects to a less regulated social media platform, Parler. My work also features research about online and offline political communication, about the usage and effects of online targeting advertising in Italian elections, about the framing of political debates in traditional media and about differences in municipal policies between different types of governments. I am currently a short-term consultant for the World Bank Group for the MAGNET Initiative.
